The detoxification program at Compass Health Care, Inc. provides a medically supervised environment for adult men and women age 18 and older to physically and psychologically withdraw from alcohol and other drugs, in a facility capable of providing comprehensive service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The emphasis of this program is a safe and comfortable withdrawl from alcohol and other drugs, withdrawl that promotes dignity of the person served and prepares the client for ongoing treatment of his/her alcohol and other drug addiction. Detoxification services are viewed as a key component of the treatment of substance use disorders, and intergral to the treatment process itself. Services may begin with Triage for assessment and continuous monitoring of withdrawl symptoms up to 23 hours. When clients can be accurately assessed for level of care placement, referrals are then made to one of the levels of care at Compass or to another appropriate level of care within the community. Compass Health Care provides Level I medically monitored detoxification services with physician and nursing care 24/7. Level II residential detoxification services are clinically managed by certified/licensed masters' level clinicians. Referrals for the next level of care are made in partnership with CPSA network providers. All services are determined and delivered using American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria.
