The Compass Health
Care, Inc. Residential Program for substance abuse rehabilitation provides
a comprehensive continuum of care designed to accommodate a great variety
of individual needs.
Mentally Ill Chemically
Addicted (MICA) was established to provide comprehensive addiction and
mental illness treatment for adults who require a structured environment
with 24-hour monitoring. The clinical focus is on both mental illness
and addiction as clients learn to understand, accept, and cope with
their problems. Expected length of stay is six months; after the first
three months, clients can go to school or work part time to help them
transition back into the community. The program offers intensive group
therapy twice a day, daily attendance at 12-step meetings and weekly
individual therapy sessions. MICA staff works with the agencies that
case manage these clients to provide a comprehensive continuum of care.
