When entering from St. Mary’s rd. turn in at the sign for “St. Mary’s medical Plaza”. Take the first turn immediately to your right. Follow the “street” through this parking area, curving to the left,
until you come to the building with a sign marked “1779.” Park in any available spot.

Compass Health Care, Inc. provides an array of services to the Tucson community. Outpatient treatment services include individual, group and family services that focus on the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of clients and their families. The outpatient clinic also provides case management services, a supportive service to enhance treatment compliance and effectiveness. The Behavioral Day Program offered by Compass Health Care is holistic in approach for those clients who are assessed as needing more intensive treatment than offered by traditional outpatient treatment. Aftercare groups are available on a weekly basis for those clients needing continuing support. Compass Health Care's outpatient clinic will provide screening, general assessments, and comprehensive assessments as required by the client.

Individual and Group Counseling: Offers screening, evaluation, outpatient, (at least 3 hours per week), intensive outpatient, (at least 9 hours per week), relapse prevention, women's issues, anger management and after care services through individual and group therapy. Separate adult and adolescent programs are offered with evening programs for families. Also provides public or court ordered substance dependence disorders programs. Auricular Acupuncture services are also provided by Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist. Our combined outpatient programs serve more than 400 adults and adolescents each year.

Family and Codependency Treatment: Group and individual counseling for individuals seeking support and recovery from codependency or dysfunctional relationships with substance disorder(s).

Family Intervention: Specially trained counselors teach family members and friends how to effectively communicate to the person with a substance disorder.

DUI Education: A 16 hour (Level II) alcohol/drug education class which is interactive, non-judgmental and behavioral focused. The expanded 36 hour program (Level I) includes 20 additional hours of group counseling. This program serves more than 500 people each year. An important and unique element of Compass Health Care Outpatient Services is the DUI Education Program. The DUI screening staff follows protocol issued by the Arizona Department of Health Services - Division of Behavioral Health Services to determine the appropriate DUI education services and/or DUI treatment services needed by the offender.

Co-Occurring Disorder Program: Provides case management, psychiatric services, medications and a full continuum of substance disorders treatment services to those who have a general mental health disorder, and not determined to be SMI, in addition to a substance dependent disorder.

Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment: “Las Mariposas” is a treatment program for youth ages 12-17 and their families. The adolescent has 10 individual sessions; the parent has 2 individual sessions, and there are two additional joint sessions. This is followed by 16 weeks of case management in the community.

Auricular Acupuncture: Also known as acudetox, this procedure, which involves placing acupuncture needles in the ear, helps reduce the cravings associated with withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs.

Teen DUI Prevention classes: a free program for teens to learn scientific information about alcohol and other drugs, the implications while driving, in order to develop a safer attitude about being under the influence and to reduce DUI’s in this age group.
