to give an individual the information and tools needed to maintain
recovery and live a
healthy, productive life.
- Group therapy
that allows the individual to uncover and process issues that would
constitute obstacles to recovery and, also, to begin to practice using
skills learned in the educational component.
- Individual sessions
with an experienced, highly qualified counselor, during which a client
can get additional help with difficult problems and/or issues too
sensitive for the group setting.
- Recreational
therapy with the goal of helping a client to learn how to socialize
and have fun without alcohol and/or
other drugs.
- Work therapy
to help the individual become accustomed to maintaining a schedule
and working.
Re-Entry
Transitional Program: Allows clients completing residential
treatment the opportunity to solidify their recovery program while assuming
more financial responsibility and entering the job market. Clients remain
in a sober, 12 Step-based community with counseling available to them.
Upon completion, they are prepared to re-enter the community with a
firm foundation for continued sobriety. This program serves more than
100 men and women each year.
Safe Harbor

dually-diagnosed (mental illness and addiction). Participants are provided
with a minimum 12 months of residency and are involved in 12-Step programs,
crisis intervention, peer support, group therapy, medical stabilization,
recreation, participation in community volunteer activities and life
management skills. The goals of the program are to provide education
in relapse prevention, education support services, and case management
to 60 client residents - to assist them in coping with the demands of
society, provide them with tools for success, and to return them to
